La Liga (Week 25) : Barcelona beats Girona 6-1
SPAIN, Feb. 24, 2018 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 25: Two wins in a row for Barcelona. After their 0-2 win against Eibar on February 17, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 6-1 victory over Girona this Saturday.
Luis Suárez scored tripple goals
Girona opened the score in the score in the 3rd minute thanks to Portu Cristian, before Barcelona regained the advantage with Suárez ('5, '44) and Messi ('30, '36). Leading 4-1 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Coutinho '66 and Suárez '76).
FC Barcelona remains in first place with 65 points from 25 games, a 10-point lead over runner-up Atletico Madrid, which has a game in hand.
