NOUAKCHOTT, Jan. 27, 1991 (AMP) — Senegal 1992 (Qualifiers) : Ivory Coast defeated Mauritania by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Ivorians second in Group 3 with 9 points. Mauritania is bottom with no points. In their next game, Ivory Coast will meet third-placed Niger on April 30, while Mauritania will face Morocco.
