BLANTYRE, Oct. 15, 1994 (AMP) — South Africa 1996 (Qualifiers) : Malawi defeated Zimbabwe by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Malawians top of Group 1 with 4 points. In their next game, Malawi will meet third-placed Cameroon on January 8, while Zimbabwe will face DR Congo.
