KAMPALA, Oct. 15, 1994 (AMP) — South Africa 1996 (Qualifiers) : Uganda defeated Ethiopia by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Ugandans third in Group 4 with 3 points. Ethiopia is bottom with one point. In their next game, Uganda will meet second-placed Algeria on November 12, while Ethiopia will face Egypt.
