GABORONE, Jan. 7, 1995 (AMP) — South Africa 1996 (Qualifiers) : Mali defeated Botswana by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Malians top of Group 6 with 10 points. Botswana is bottom with one point. In their next game, Mali will meet second-placed Mozambique on April 9, while Botswana will face Angola.
