GABORONE, Jan. 22, 1995 (AMP) — South Africa 1996 (Qualifiers) : Angola defeated Botswana by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Angolans second in Group 6 with 10 points. Botswana is bottom with one point. In their next game, Angola will meet Namibia on April 9, while Botswana will face Guinea.
