NAIROBI, Jan. 25, 1997 (AMP) — Burkina Faso 1998 (Qualifiers) : Kenya defeated Gabon by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Kenyans second in Group 5 with 3 points. Gabon is bottom with one point. In their next game, Kenya will meet group leaders Cameroon on February 22, while Gabon will face Namibia.
