ACCRA, Jan. 26, 1997 (AMP) — Burkina Faso 1998 (Qualifiers) : Togo defeated Liberia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 1998 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Togolese top of Group 6 with 6 points. Liberia is third with one point. In their next game, Togo will meet second-placed DR Congo on February 23, while Liberia will face Tanzania.
