DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 23, 1997 (AMP) — Burkina Faso 1998 (Qualifiers) : Tanzania tied 1-1 with Liberia (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 1998 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Liberians third in Group 6 with 2 points. Tanzania is bottom with one point. In their next game, Liberia will meet second-placed DR Congo on June 22, while Tanzania will face Togo.
