MONROVIA, Jun. 22, 1997 (AMP) — Burkina Faso 1998 (Qualifiers) : Liberia defeated DR Congo by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result left both teams tied in the second place of Group 6 with 5 points. In their next game, DR Congo will meet Tanzania on July 13, while Liberia will face Togo.
