BAMAKO, Oct. 4, 1998 (AMP) — Ghana Nigeria 2000 (Qualifiers) : Ivory Coast defeated Mali by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Ivorians top of Group 3 with 3 points. In their next game, Ivory Coast will meet third-placed Namibia on January 24, while Mali will face Congo-Brazzaville.
