BAMAKO, Jun. 6, 1999 (AMP) — Ghana Nigeria 2000 (Qualifiers) : Mali defeated Congo-Brazzaville by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 3-1), in a qualifying game for the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Malians second in Group 3 with 8 points. Congo-Brazzaville is third with 7 points. In their last game, Mali will meet group leaders Ivory Coast on June 20, while Congo-Brazzaville will face Namibia.
