LUANDA, Jan. 24, 1999 (AMP) — Ghana Nigeria 2000 (Qualifiers) : Angola defeated Gabon by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Angolans second in Group 4 with 3 points. Gabon is third with 3 points. In their next game, Angola will meet Mauritius on February 28, while Gabon will face South Africa.
