ANTANANARIVO, Jan. 24, 1999 (AMP) — Ghana Nigeria 2000 (Qualifiers) : Zambia defeated Madagascar by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Zambians top of Group 6 with 4 points. Madagascar is bottom with one point. In their next game, Zambia will meet third-placed Kenya on February 28, while Madagascar will face DR Congo.
