ALGIERS, Jan. 24, 1999 (AMP) — Ghana Nigeria 2000 (Qualifiers) : Tunisia defeated Algeria by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Tunisians top of Group 7 with 6 points. Algeria is bottom with no points. In their next game, Tunisia will meet third-placed Uganda on February 27, while Algeria will face Liberia.
