MONROVIA, Jan. 24, 1999 (AMP) — Ghana Nigeria 2000 (Qualifiers) : Liberia defeated Uganda by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Liberians second in Group 7 with 3 points. Uganda is third with 3 points. In their next game, Liberia will meet Algeria on February 28, while Uganda will face Tunisia.
