BAMAKO, Aug. 2, 1998 (AMP) — Ghana Nigeria 2000 (Qualifiers) : Mali defeated Cape Verde by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 3-0), in the first leg of a AFCON qualifier tie on Sunday.
The second leg between Mali and Cape Verde will be played on Sunday August 16, 1998 in Praia.
