NIAMEY, Aug. 2, 1998 (AMP) — Ghana Nigeria 2000 (Qualifiers) : Niger defeated Liberia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in the first leg of a AFCON qualifier tie on Sunday.
The second leg between Niger and Liberia will be played on Sunday August 16, 1998 in Monrovia.
