LUSAKA, Sep. 2, 2000 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : Madagascar defeated Zambia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Malagasy second in Group 1 with 3 points. In their next game, Madagascar will meet group leaders Nigeria on October 7, while Zambia will face Namibia.
