ANTANANARIVO, Mar. 24, 2001 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : Namibia defeated Madagascar by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Malagasy second in Group 1 with 5 points. Namibia is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Madagascar will meet group leaders Nigeria on June 2, while Namibia will face Zambia.
