CUREPIPE, Oct. 8, 2000 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : Congo-Brazzaville defeated Mauritius by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Congolese third in Group 2 with 3 points. Mauritius is bottom with no points. In their next game, Congo-Brazzaville will meet group leaders Liberia on January 14, while Mauritius will face South Africa.
