PORT ELIZABETH, Mar. 24, 2001 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : South Africa defeated Mauritius by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.

The result put the South Africans top of Group 2 with 10 points. Mauritius is bottom with one point. In their next game, South Africa will meet second-placed Liberia on June 3, while Mauritius will face Congo-Brazzaville.
