ANNABA, Jun. 1, 2001 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : Algeria defeated Angola by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday.

The result put the Algerians top of Group 4 with 11 points. Angola is third with 5 points. In their last game, Algeria will meet second-placed Burkina Faso on June 17, while Angola will face Burundi.
