TRIPOLI, Sep. 10, 2000 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : Libya defeated Sudan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Libyans top of Group 7 with 3 points. In their next game, Libya will meet third-placed Ivory Coast on November 19, while Sudan will face Egypt.
