KHARTOUM, Oct. 8, 2000 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : Egypt defeated Sudan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Egyptians top of Group 7 with 6 points. Sudan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Egypt will meet second-placed Libya on January 14, while Sudan will face Ivory Coast.
