BOUAKé, Jan. 20, 2001 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : Ivory Coast defeated Sudan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Ivorians second in Group 7 with 6 points. Sudan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Ivory Coast will meet Sudan on March 25, while Sudan will face Ivory Coast.
