ALEXANDRIA, Jun. 3, 2001 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : Egypt defeated Sudan by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Egyptians top of Group 7 with 12 points. Sudan is bottom with one point. In their last game, Egypt will meet second-placed Ivory Coast on June 17, while Sudan will face Libya.
