KAMPALA, Jul. 1, 2000 (AMP) — Mali 2002 (Qualifiers) : Uganda defeated Malawi by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in the first leg of a AFCON qualifier tie on Saturday.

The second leg between Uganda and Malawi will be played on Saturday July 15, 2000 in Blantyre.
