MONROVIA, Oct. 12, 2002 (AMP) — Tunisia 2004 (Qualifiers) : Liberia defeated Niger by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Nigeriens second in Group 2 with 3 points. Liberia is third with 3 points. In their next game, Niger will meet group leaders Guinea on March 30, while Liberia will face Ethiopia.
