MWANZA, Oct. 12, 2002 (AMP) — Tunisia 2004 (Qualifiers) : Sudan defeated Tanzania by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Sudanese third in Group 3 with 3 points. Tanzania is bottom with no points. In their next game, Sudan will meet group leaders Benin on March 29, while Tanzania will face Zambia.
