LOMé, Oct. 12, 2002 (AMP) — Tunisia 2004 (Qualifiers) : Togo defeated Mauritania by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Togolese third in Group 5 with 3 points. Mauritania is bottom with no points. In their next game, Togo will meet second-placed Cape Verde on March 29, while Mauritania will face Kenya.
