PRAIA, Jun. 21, 2003 (AMP) — Tunisia 2004 (Qualifiers) : Cape Verde defeated Mauritania by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Cape Verdeans second in Group 5 with 9 points. Mauritania is bottom with one point. In their last game, Cape Verde will meet group leaders Kenya on July 5, while Mauritania will face Togo.
