FREETOWN, Oct. 12, 2002 (AMP) — Tunisia 2004 (Qualifiers) : Sierra Leone defeated Gabon by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
The result put the Sierra Leoneans top of Group 7 with 6 points. Gabon is bottom with no points. In their next game, Sierra Leone will meet second-placed Morocco on March 29, while Gabon will face Equatorial Guinea.
