LUSAKA, Sep. 4, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Zambia defeated Liberia 1-0 after extra time, in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Zambians top of Group 1 with 7 points. Liberia is 5th with 4 points. In their next game, Zambia will meet second-placed Congo-Brazzaville on October 10, while Liberia will face Senegal.
