LOMé, Sep. 5, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Togo defeated Congo-Brazzaville by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Togolese top of Group 1 with 7 points. Congo-Brazzaville is fourth with 6 points. In their next game, Togo will meet Mali on October 10, while Congo-Brazzaville will face Zambia.
