SéGOU, Jun. 5, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Mali defeated Liberia by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Malians 5th in Group 1 with 5 points. Liberia is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Mali will meet third-placed Zambia on June 18, while Liberia will face Congo-Brazzaville.
