CHILILABOMBWE, Jun. 18, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Zambia defeated Mali by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Zambians second in Group 1 with 16 points. Mali is 5th with 5 points. In their next game, Zambia will meet third-placed Senegal on September 3, while Mali will face Congo-Brazzaville.
