PAYNESVILLE, Jun. 19, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Congo-Brazzaville defeated Liberia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Congolese fourth in Group 1 with 10 points. Liberia is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Congo-Brazzaville will meet Mali on September 3, while Liberia will face Togo.
