BAMAKO, Sep. 3, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Mali defeated Congo-Brazzaville by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night.
The result put the Congolese fourth in Group 1 with 10 points. Mali is 5th with 8 points. In their last game, Congo-Brazzaville will meet second-placed Togo on October 8, while Mali will face Senegal.
