PRAIA, Jun. 19, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Cape Verde defeated Uganda by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Cape Verdeans third in Group 2 with 3 points. Uganda is fourth with 3 points. In their next game, Cape Verde will meet DR Congo on July 3, while Uganda will face Ghana.
