KUMASI, Jun. 20, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Ghana defeated South Africa by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.

The result put the Ghanaians top of Group 2 with 3 points. South Africa is 5th with 3 points. In their next game, Ghana will meet Uganda on July 3, while South Africa will face Burkina Faso.
