KAMPALA, Oct. 10, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : South Africa defeated Uganda by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.

The result put the South Africans top of Group 2 with 9 points. Uganda is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, South Africa will meet Uganda on March 26, while Uganda will face South Africa.
