JOHANNESBURG, Mar. 26, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : South Africa defeated Uganda by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the South Africans top of Group 2 with 12 points. Uganda is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, South Africa will meet Cape Verde on June 4, while Uganda will face DR Congo.
