KUMASI, Jun. 5, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Ghana defeated Burkina Faso by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Ghanaians second in Group 2 with 12 points. Burkina Faso is 5th with 6 points. In their next game, Ghana will meet group leaders South Africa on June 18, while Burkina Faso will face DR Congo.
