OUAGADOUGOU, Jun. 18, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Burkina Faso defeated DR Congo by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night.
The result put the congolese third in Group 2 with 12 points. Burkina Faso is 5th with 9 points. In their next game, DR Congo will meet Cape Verde on September 4, while Burkina Faso will face South Africa.
