KAMPALA, Jun. 18, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Uganda defeated Cape Verde by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Cape Verdeans fourth in Group 2 with 10 points. Uganda is 5th with 7 points. In their next game, Cape Verde will meet third-placed DR Congo on September 4, while Uganda will face Ghana.
