OUAGADOUGOU, Sep. 3, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Burkina Faso defeated South Africa by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night.
The result put the South Africans second in Group 2 with 15 points. Burkina Faso is fourth with 12 points. In their last game, South Africa will meet third-placed DR Congo on October 8, while Burkina Faso will face Uganda.
