KINSHASA, Sep. 4, 2005 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : DR Congo defeated Cape Verde by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the congolese second in Group 2 with 15 points. Cape Verde is 5th with 10 points. In their last game, DR Congo will meet third-placed South Africa on October 8, while Cape Verde will face Ghana.
