KHARTOUM, Jul. 3, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Libya defeated Sudan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night.
The result put the Libyans third in Group 3 with 4 points. Sudan is bottom with one point. In their next game, Libya will meet Benin on September 3, while Sudan will face Ivory Coast.
