YAOUNDé, Jul. 4, 2004 (AMP) — Egypt 2006 (Qualifiers) : Cameroon defeated Ivory Coast by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon.

The result put the Cameroonians top of Group 3 with 7 points. Ivory Coast is second with 6 points. In their next game, Cameroon will meet Egypt on September 5, while Ivory Coast will face Sudan.
